1. Who operates the site and acceptance of the terms

journalwixe operates this journalism workflow platform from the United Kingdom. By accessing or using the platform you agree to these terms in full. If you do not accept them you must stop using the service immediately. Continued use constitutes acceptance of any future updates posted on this page.

2. Eligibility and permitted use

The platform is intended for professional journalists, editors, production teams and students enrolled in accredited journalism courses within the United Kingdom. You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts. Permitted activities include story planning, editorial coordination, studio report management, camera setup documentation and professional news production workflows. Any other commercial or personal use requires prior written consent from journalwixe.

3. Prohibited conduct

Users must not upload unlawful, defamatory or infringing material. You may not attempt to reverse engineer the platform, interfere with its security, or use automated tools to scrape content. Harassment of other users, distribution of malware and violation of third-party intellectual property rights are strictly forbidden. Breaches may result in immediate suspension and reporting to relevant UK authorities.

4. Accounts, submissions and user content

Account registration requires accurate information. You retain ownership of content you submit but grant journalwixe a non-exclusive licence to host, display and process that content solely to deliver the service. You are responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions for any third-party material included in your submissions. Accounts may be terminated for repeated violations or inactivity exceeding twelve months.

5. Ownership of site content, trademarks and permitted limited use

All platform software, design, documentation and original editorial templates remain the exclusive property of journalwixe. Trademarks and logos may not be reproduced without express permission. You may download and print limited excerpts for internal training purposes only, provided you retain all copyright notices and do not modify the material.

6. Third-party services and links

The platform may integrate or link to external tools for video editing, cloud storage or news agency feeds. journalwixe does not endorse these services and accepts no liability for their availability, accuracy or data practices. Users should review the terms of any third-party service before connecting accounts.

7. Availability, changes, suspension and termination

journalwixe aims to maintain continuous access but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be notified in advance where possible. We may suspend or terminate accounts or features at our discretion, with or without notice, for operational, legal or security reasons. Upon termination, your content may be deleted after a reasonable retention period.

8. Disclaimers subject to mandatory consumer law

The platform is provided on an “as is” basis. While we strive for accuracy in workflow tools, we do not warrant that generated reports or camera setups will meet every professional standard. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

9. Limitation of liability

Subject to the above, our total liability arising from your use of the platform shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of data, business opportunity or reputational harm, except where such exclusion is prohibited by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify journalwixe against claims, losses and expenses arising from your breach of these terms, your user content, or your violation of applicable UK laws including data protection and broadcasting regulations.

11. Governing law, courts and consumer dispute rights

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, except that consumers resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may bring proceedings in their local courts. You retain rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes Regulations 2015.

12. Severability, waiver, changes, contact route and last-updated date

If any provision is found invalid the remainder continues in force. Failure to enforce any term does not constitute a waiver.
